Events

Events are held throughout the year which all children and their families are invited to attend. We aim to extend the pre-school experience into family life by inviting parents and carers to pre-school, on walks and to fun events and parties. At the same time many of the events provide an opportunity to raise funds for pre-school.

As a charity fundraising is a vital element in the existence of Churchill Pre-School. We aim to raise enough funds every year to enable us to continue to purchase the extensive range of Art and Craft materials we need for the children’s playing and learning activities.

The funds raised also enable us to purchase more expensive equipment such as the Mini Gym (Picture) purchased in 2007 and to replace worn out toys such as the very well-used dolls house. (picture of new dolls house).

An opportunity for Mums and Dads and carers to have their child and siblings snapped by a professional photographer SMILE PLEASE!!

Firework Night

A fantastic family night out with BBQ, cake stall and bar (for the grown ups!), and of course a magical display of children’ fireworks.

Pre-School Christmas Play
Our young thespians always put on a fabulous performance for their families and carers, with Raffle and refreshments.
Christmas Disco
A chance for the children to dress up and show off their disco moves. Party games and refreshments are provided

Bluebell Walk

 A delightful and easy walk in the local bluebell laden woods to a picnic spot.

Sponsored Bike Ride

An event Sportacus and Stephanie would be proud of! Held in a safe playground, all comers get a medal and certificate. Hot Dogs and refreshments available.

 

Animal Farm Adventure Park

Children, Parents and carers meet at this popular farm attraction for a great day out with the animals and play areas

Summer BBQ

A truly memorable family day. Garden games, ice cream stall, face painting, fancy dress competition, BBQ, cakes and more

We also run a number of other fundraising opportunities throughout the year, such as the popular Letter to Santa, Christmas Wrap sale and Invitation Book sale. The Management Committee of the Pre-School also ensure refreshments are available at all events and run raffles at Christmas and Easter, with prizes sponsored by local businesses.

If any parents and carers would like to help out at any of the events we hold, we would love to hear from you. All volunteers are warmly welcomed, from manning the tea urn and making cakes to bringing new ideas for fundraising and helping to organise them. Please contact Churchill Pre-School to volunteer.
