SUPPORTERS

As a charity we rely upon the good will of individuals and local businesses to support our fundraising efforts. We would like to thank all the local companies, groups and people who support us. Without them we could not continue to keep the Pre-School stocked with the equipment, materials and day-to-day things that we need. Their support means that the group can continue. Please support them so that they can continue to support us. Thank you.

A huge shout out to Dave Hawker from Hawker and Palmer Wealth Management Ltd based in Wrington. Dave has very generously donated his time and expertise in assisting us with our pension scheme. His knowledge and professionalism has been invaluable and we are so grateful for all his help.

" are delighted to have received a visit and generous donation of £255 from the Forest of Mendip Lodge based in Rickford; part of the Somerset Freemasons.  A presentation was made by the current Worshipful Master, Ian Angell who attended the Pre-School with two other Brethren, Ray Beckingham and Garry Sharp.

Samantha Stone, one of the Acting Pre-School Leaders, said "We have experienced some problems with the garden area around the sandpit and playhouse following wet weather. This donation will enable us to buy some weatherproofing materials to make the garden usable throughout the year, whatever the weather! The garden has really developed as a learning resource following the fundraising efforts of our Little Hands Gardening Appeal and this will further help that good work."

A big thank you to the Clevedon branch of Specsavers who very kindly donated 34 high visibility jackets to us. This is a fantastic gift as it will enable us to take the children on more regular outings; helping us to provide more interesting and varied educational experiences for our pre-school group. Active learning experiences are the best catalysts for learning and support children's development like no other, so the opportunity to take outings more often, (rather than only when we are able to borrrow sufficient numbers of jackets from the local primary school) can only be of benefit. Looking forward to our forthcoming outings this year!

Another busy but exciting term, which culminated with our annual egg hunt and Easter Bonnet Parade. Great fun was had by all and we are very proud of our children's creative skills! A big thank you to Pro-Scaffolding Southwest Ltd, JaysInk and Fusion Insurance Services Ltd who all donated Easter eggs. As you can see from the photos, they were very much appreciated!

We raised an amazing £1,313.04 in aid of our 'Little Hands' garden appeal at this year's Christmas shopping evening. This was, in the main, due to our fantastic raffle. We are extremely grateful to all the local businesses that supported our raffle including EMO Ltd who designed our raffle tickets, MPD Offset Ltd for printing them, and Nick Dunnington,

Pro-Scaffolding Southwest Ltd, The Club and Spa at Cadbury House, Our Pool, Wookey Hole, Mendip Ourdoor Pursuits, Tynings Trekking Centre, Stag and Hounds in Churchill, The Swan in Rowberrow, Churchill Sports Centre, The Langford Inn, The Nelson Arms, Butcombe Brewery Ltd, Yeo Valley, Beauty by Jodie, Murphy's Fish Bar, Churchill Post Office, Langford Inn, Lye Cross Farm, White Horse Inn in Mark, Hunts Cider of Devon, Maria Ball and Buffy Hair Studio who all donated raffle prizes. We would also like to thank all the stall holders who helped to make the event such a success.

Lye Cross Farm kindly donated £20 towards food for the buffet we had at our leavers graduation in July.

Lye Cross Farm is a sponsor of Gromit Unleashed and have their very own Gromit at their farm shop as well as an exciting and fun programme of events to help raise as much money as possible for Wallace and Gromit's Grand Appeal. Pre-School graduate, Chase Sullivan, visited Gromit at Lye Cross Farm Shop recently!

Thanks to Richard Fogg of Stann Fogg and Sons who very kindly provided us with a fantastic banner. It has already been put to good use, telling people who we are. You may have seen it at the school fete and of course it was in primary position at our leavers graduation ceremony!

Tincknell County Stores in Congresbury kindly donated several large bags of compost for use in our newly turfed garden. The children have had great fun playing in the new garden and it has been a wonderful opportunity for them to get involved with some gardening activities.
